Trauma Responsive Supervision: Recognizing and Building Resilience in Yourself and Others

We are living through stressful times. This is impacting both our personal and professional lives. You may be asking yourself questions such as, “Can I keep doing this?” “How can I encourage others when I’m depleted?” “Am I still doing well?” As a supervisor you are in a unique position to influence the culture of an agency and develop skills in those you supervise. This training will explore how to take the principles of Trauma Informed Care into the supervision setting. In doing so, you will create a safe space for supervisees to expand their skills. We will also look at the impact of secondary trauma and how it may show up in the supervision setting for both the supervisee and the supervisor, as well as explore strategies for reducing its harmful impact.
