Leading with CLAS

Thursday, August 29, 2024 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
at the Butler County Educational Service Center
400 N. Erie Blvd., Suite A, Hamilton, OH 45011

This workshop is designed for organizations pushing for health equity. People experiencing structural vulnerabilities to their health (e.g., People of Color, disabled persons, LGBTQ communities, marginalized genders) require systemic interventions rooted in dignity, care, and intentionality. This workshop will not only examine the implicit, explicit, and structural barriers to health but also CLAS standards (culturally and linguistically appropriate services) as a framework to decrease health and healthcare disparities and improve health outcomes (e.g., length of life and quality of life.) Trainers: Avant Consulting

Objectives:

  1. Name the 3 CLAS themes
  2. Discuss implementation strategies to recruit, train, and educate leadership and workforces
  3. Explore engagement, continuous improvement, and accountability strategies to identify inequities, root causes, and interventions
  4. Assess individual and organizational capacity to implement change
